Notice of Annual Shareholders Meeting

The 2017 Annual Meeting of Shareholders of American Savings Life Insurance Company will be held at:

For the following purposes:

  • To elect four directors, each to serve for a term of two years;
  • To ratify the appointment of Larson & Company, PC, CPA, as principal independent auditor;
  • To act upon such other matters as may properly come before the meeting.

Shareholders of record as of the close of business on February 28, 2017 are entitle to notice of, and to vote at the annual meeting.

Stock Buy-Back (Tender) Offer

The Board of Directors has authorized the purchase of Company stock at a price equal to 90% of the last available book value, as prepared on a GAAP basis, adjusted for unpaid declared dividends. As of March 31, 2017, this adjusted book value is $3.886 per share. Therefore the current tender price is $3.50 per share.

Semi-Annual Dividend Declared

The following semi-annual dividend has been declared during 2017 to stockholders of record at the end of the month preceding payment: 

  • 12.0 cent per share dividend paid on April 7, 2017.
