Single Premium Fixed Deferred Annuities
What is a Fixed Deferred Annuity?
A fixed annuity can help you accumulate money tax-deferred for retirement. You do not have to pay taxes on the money that accumulates until you decide to begin receiving annuity payments.
It guarantees a fixed interest rate each year, regardless of what the stock market or bond market does.
Annuity guarantees are backed by the financial strength and claims-paying ability of American Savings Life Insurance Company.
Fixed Annuities offer these Attractive Features:
- Protection from market volatility
- Guaranteed minimum interest rates
- Tax-deferred cash accumulation
- Ability to avoid probate by designating a beneficiary
- Option to turn part or all of your annuity into an income stream that you can never outlive (annuitization)
Introducing the American Savings Life's Fixed Deferred Annuities
Our Annuities offers the best of both worlds by guaranteeing you never lose a dime of your principal investment while simultaneously guaranteeing an above-market interest rate for the first year with both a high “bailout” interest rate, and a 2.50% guaranteed minimum interest rate for the life of the contract.
Purchase with a single premium with no additional premiums with either Qualified (i.e.: IRA) and Non-Qualified funds.
How It Works
First Year Guaranteed and Bailout Interest Rates
The interest rate is guaranteed for the first year of your annuity along with a Bailout rate. We are able to pay above-market interest rates due to our below-average overhead and sales expenses as well as our consistent above-average financial performance.
Bailout Feature
Every year, 30 days prior to your contract anniversary, we will notify you of the next year’s guaranteed interest rate. If this interest rate is ever below your contract’s Projected Rate (also called the Bailout Rate), you will have until 30 days after your contract anniversary to notify the Company if you want to withdraw part or all of your annuity balance without any surrender charges.
Therefore, you can know that if your American Savings Life annuity ever pays less than the Bailout Rate, you can withdraw your funds free of any company penalty! (There may be a 10% IRS penalty on withdrawals prior to age 59 1/2).
